Solid 18k Gold Faravahar Pendant, Large

Beautiful 18k solid yellow gold, highly detailed Farvahar Zoroastrian Achaemenid 2500 B.C. pendant.

Origin of Faravahar: The Faravahar symbol dates back to the ancient Achaemenid Empire (c. 550-330 BCE), appearing in various architectural and artistic works, notably at Persepolis. It is thought to have been a representation of divine guidance and protection, possibly symbolizing Ahura Mazda, the supreme deity in Zoroastrianism, or the concept of 'fravashi' (guardian spirit of personal spirit). However, there's no universal consensus on its exact meaning, with interpretations varying from it representing Ahura Mazda to a more secular symbol of Persian identity.

This piece is carefully finished in a combination of polished and brushed gold and features a generous circular bail for hanging on even your chubbiest chains.  It is marked "750" which is 18k gold.
