Designer Tsavorite & Diamond Calla Lily Cocktail Ring in 14K White Gold, Size 5.25

This striking vintage calla lily ring is crafted in solid 14K white gold and set with a vivid cluster of sparkling green tsavorites surrounding a diamond-set floral center (known as the 'spadix').   Sculptural white-gold petals (known as the 'spathe') sweep upward around the gemstone cluster, creating a beautifully dimensional design that feels both elegant and wonderfully unexpected.

The cluster of tsavorites brings rich, lively shades of green to the design, while the center of diamonds adds a delicate touch of sparkle.  

This is a fairly substantial statement ring without being overwhelmingly large.  The smooth, white gold shank curves beautifully around the finger, creating dramatic contrast against the brilliant green gemstones.  Its rounded shank is also extremely comfortable on the finger.

Calla lilies generally symbolize beauty, purity, and rebirth.  They are often used in weddings and religious ceremonies, Easter festivities, and bereavement florals.  They also symbolize deep commitment in relationships, making them an excellent gift to someone very dear to your heart.  In Greek mythology, the Calla Lily is associated with a fascinating story. Zeus, the king of the gods, wanted baby Hercules to drink Hera’s milk while she was asleep. When she woke up and realized what was happening, she got angry and pushed him away. The milk spilled into the sky and became the Milky Way, while the drops that landed on Earth bloomed into Calla Lilies. 

The ring is hallmarked 14K and JCR. The JCR maker's mark may indicate a design by John C. Rinker, who was a 40-year master goldsmith and fine jewelry designer from Baltimore, Maryland, known for handcrafted gemstone jewelry marked with the "JCR" hallmark.  Since we cannot be certain of the designer, we are offering this ring far below the cost of most Rinker designs.
